In 1909 Elinore decided that she wanted to homestead on the Wyoming prairie. With her young daughter, she took a train to Brunt Fork, Wyoming, where she filed a claim for a ranch and went on to prove that a woman could make it on the frontier. This patter's blocks and colors reflect the prairies and the hopes of this courageous pioneer woman who moved to Burnt Fork, Wyoming in 1909 to follow her dream of homesteading.
